    Why shouldn't I bring my movies to a Big Box store, my local drugstore, or retail photo chain?

    You could. And then they ship them out to film transfer companies across the U.S., or send them to companies like us. Every time your job changes hands you have a risk of it being lost in transit. All our work is done on the premises.

    Who do I talk to if I have questions about or problems with a job I dropped off at (Fill in the blank) Mart?

    We don't have a clue.

    I have an old projector and a video camera. Can't I just project the film onto a screen and videotape it?

    Sure. With the right projector, the right camera and the right settings you might even get pretty good results. We used to do transfers exactly the same way… 25 years ago. The quality was good enough for VHS tape. Now DVDs require a much higher resolution.

    What about those do-it-yourself film transfer boxes I see on ebay?

    Well, first you need a projector and a video camera. Then, when you're done, the results are nowhere near the quality we provide. Basically, they're just a substitute for a screen. In fact, using a screen will yield better results.

    How will Stone Digital Productions transfer my films?

    We use broadcast-quality cameras to digitally capture the images directly from your film. There's no screen to degrade the image.

    Why should I have my films transferred by Stone Digital Productions?

    We offer quality work at reasonable prices. We love what we do. We take pride in treating your films like they are our own. We hope you'll give us a try!

    Do you transfer slides?

    Yes we do! We offer high resolution slide transfers color corrected in Adobe Photoshop and transferred to DVDs and/or Cds. Have lots of slides? No problem. We offer high volumes of slides at a low price.

    Will the DVDs you make play in any DVD player or computer?

    We've gone to great lengths to make sure that our DVDs will be compatible with most any equipment.

    How do I get my materials ready for you to work with?

    We'll be happy to help you organize your materials. The more organized you are, the less you'll pay! Give us a call and we'll help you pull everything together in the most efficient way possible. Remember to use only soft-leaded pencil when numbering your photos. Ink can bleed onto the next photo in your stack.
